After deviantART staffers spent the last 24 hours flailing through HQ and wringing their hands with worry over the whereabouts of missing Llamahog Gertrude Bicknevis III, he has just been found splashing about, without a care in the world, off the coast of Bora Bora with his first cousin, Llamafish H. Dawkins. Authorities believe the sudden disappearance of the Llamahog stemmed from an ill-planned attempt to spend Llamahog Day, quote, "Celebrating the way HE wanted to." (Editor's note: This sentence was translated from a series of whinnies, snorts, and a bit of spit by renowned Llamahog Linguists.) According to reports, the Llamahog fled his den in Los Angeles after receiving word that US officials were still insisting on calling the February 2nd holiday "Groundhog Day," despite the fact that, as the Llamahog's snorts seemed to suggest, Groundhog Day had been in steady decline since the premiere of the delightful Bill Murray comedy that shares its name. "When will it be MY turn to teach aging comedians a little something about small-town patience?" asked the Llamahog, according to the translator who was wiping bits of spittle from his face.

This sudden disappearance didn't come as a surprise to those close to the Llamahog, who say he had been teetering on edge of a breakdown in the months prior to his disappearance. A member of the Llamahog's local gym recalls a conversation with the Llamahog, where he touted his bravery and burrowing capabilities as far superior to a mere groundhog. "We were chatting by the punching bags," says the gym member, "and he suddenly goes, 'You think I'm scared of a shadow? THIS is what I do to shadows!' Then he starts slamming into the punching bag with his face! I mean, he was really giving it the business. And the whole time he's shouting, 'There's your six weeks of winter, pal!' I really felt bad for the guy."

Back on shore in Bora Bora, when authorities told the Llamahog how concerned and worried the deviantART community had been for him, the Llamahog glanced up from the tree branch he had been gnawing and tilted his head to the side, as if to say: "Really? Gee, I didn't mean to cause all THAT fuss. You know what? Give them all a discount. 20% off all Prints and deviantWEAR!" Then he reared back his mighty neck to bid adieu to his cousin in the water. "Sorry, Llamafish, but I'm flying home. The Llamahog is back!"

Just because Llamahog Gertrude Bicknevis III is safe and sound back at home in Los Angeles, doesn't mean you can't bring home a little Llamahog too. Download our brand new Llamahog wallpaper and enjoy the cross-bred beauty all year long. Happy Llamahog Day!
